How the payment is calculated
The amount financed is the RV price plus sales tax and fees, minus your down payment and trade-in value. Sales tax is applied to the price after the trade-in value is subtracted. The monthly payment is a standard fixed-rate loan payment on that amount for the term you choose.
Choosing a loan term
RV loans often run longer than car loans. When you leave the term on “Typical for this amount”, the calculator uses 10 years when less than $25,000 is financed, 15 years up to $100,000 and 20 years above that. A longer term lowers the monthly payment but increases the total interest you pay.
