Dump station

Also called: Sani-dump

A place to empty an RV’s gray and black tanks through a sewer hose into an underground drain. Found at campgrounds, truck stops, rest areas and some fuel stations, sometimes for a fee.

To dump: connect the sewer hose securely to the RV outlet and the station inlet, open the black valve first and let it drain completely, then close it and open the gray valve so the soapy gray water rinses the hose. Use the station’s non-potable rinse hose afterward.

Many campgrounds, truck stops, rest areas and some fuel stations have dump stations, some free and some for a fee. Never use the rinse hose for drinking water.
