Toy hauler
Also called: Sport utility RV
An RV with a rear garage and ramp door for carrying motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides or bikes. The garage often doubles as living space with fold-down beds or sofas, and the ramp can become a patio.
Toy haulers come as travel trailers, fifth wheels and some motorhomes. Many include a fuel station for the toys, a generator and reinforced flooring in the garage.
Because the toys sit at the rear, loaded weight and tongue or pin weight can change a lot depending on what you carry. Check cargo capacity carefully: the published CCC has to cover the toys, fuel and gear.
